During Hurricane Lala, our dedicated Wilson caregivers continued to provide care to clients and residents throughout Oʻahu on Saturday and Sunday, despite the challenging weather conditions.
While many in our community were preparing their own homes and families for the storm, our caregivers remained committed to the people who depend on them. They showed up, provided reassurance and support, and helped ensure that our clients and residents continued receiving the care they needed.
To every Wilson caregiver who worked through the storm, mahalo. We sincerely appreciate your dedication, compassion, and willingness to be there for others when it mattered most.
Staying Prepared This Hurricane Season
As we enter September, hurricane season remains active, and additional storms may still develop in the Pacific. We encourage everyone to take time now to review their emergency plans and make sure their households are prepared.
For older adults and individuals who depend on caregiving assistance, preparation is especially important. Families should consider having extra medications and essential supplies available, keeping emergency contact information accessible, charging necessary devices, and planning ahead for possible power outages or travel disruptions.
